Simona Terron - CITY-ESCAPE
6 Views • Jun 13, 2014
Description
Racing towards its own destruction,
Blinded by its perceived fabulousness
It hurtles forth with me trapped in its centre
What ca I do but gape in horror?
Clinging on from habit more than love,
I curse my beloved home, my birthplace,
My life school for not being easier t abandon
But then I cease to rant, and laugh instead.
The city and I are one, responsible
For each other’s status, pain, ego and joy.
Where would I go after leaving her?
It doesn’t matter – for she will never ever leave me.
