Silverlining

he protagonist a middleaged food delivery man struggles through his harsh daily life while taking care of his bedridden elderly mother. Weighed down by mounting debts and the burden of supporting his ailing mother his world collapses further after a traffic accident causes him to lose the little money he had left. Driven to the edge he makes a desperate decision to end their suffering by turning on the gas. As despair fills the room he notices a flicker on his smartphonea lottery notification declaring him the winner. However its too late. His mother succumbs to gas asphyxiation leaving him in a state of profound regret. Outside the sound of sirens grows louder as police gather around the vicinity. In the final moment with nowhere left to turn the protagonist takes a desperate measure clutching a gun in his trembling hand and his story reaches its tragic conclusion.
