I ran out of you
before I was ready to let you go

I ran out of your hugs
before I felt safe on my own

I ran out of your gangster talk
before I ran out of laughing

I ran out of your smell
before I was finished inhaling you

You ran out of 'what are you thinking? '
whilst I was still filled with all of you

and one day, I will run out of all these memories of you
and I will run out of tears
and the aching
and the gap that you left

and one day
I will only remember
that you ran out of loving me.
