Silentpoet Grl - Possibly Insane

lost on this long path of life
been through so much
people have cut me down
i've kept many dark secrets
taken much hurt and pain
left with really no place
struggled to find any hope
searching i found something
writing, i found some comfort
releasing haunting thoughts
spilling the ugly memories
pouring out my mistakes
and stories of heartache.
scared of letting anyone read
finally, sharing, only anonymously
even while claiming i hold no talent
still maybe its all a mistake
some might not understand
or possibly judge and critique
such is a vulnerable thing
to lay out your guilt and shame
now unsure of where to go from here
with mixed reviews received
some leave kind, caring words.
then others who easily say,
you're stupid and possibly insane.
questioning if i should keep writing
i then remember the release it brings-
in that strange and comforting way.
so i have to choose to write
even if people think i'm insane.
