Silentpoet Grl - Escape

staring at the knife i'm holding
sharp blade so temptingly appealing.
memories so haunting, torturing
i'm just dying, dreaming of escape.
moving the knife to my skin
its begging me to let it sink in.
Your degrading words always echoing
shame violently suffocating me to nothing.
can't fight the urge any longer
i cut, and for a moment I feel stronger.
blood dripping, i have my escape.
