Silent Speaker - The Place

It seems I'm only happy
when I'm here in this place
Truly happy only here
a mask is on in any other case

It seems I only smile
when I'm here away from home
where I can talk to who I trust
where I'm not alone

It seems I get that twinkle in my eye
when I'm here not there
I can only truly be myself
around the people that care

It seems I only really laugh
when I'm here were people understand
where they love and comfort me
without a demand

Is there a reason why the person
who is supposed to care for me
wants to make my life hell
doesn't want me happy
