Silence Dogood - Perfection
8 Views • Jun 15, 2014
Description
Im never good enough
the higher I climb
the further I fall
You just expect too much
I cant raise my hand
for fear that im wrong
My eyes are red
I cant be me
what is wrong with this world
you should be the perfect mother
I the perfect girl
buts that not the truth of things
Cause im just a failure
I write good stories share my poems
but still you want more
A c is unexceptable but that is what i got
Afraid to show my report card afraid of what you'll think
Im not the perfection you wanted
or the girl you thought you had
I have my share of secrets
That I cant trust to tell
Cause your just not the mother
you should of really been
expecting to much
screaming at me
and killing me inside
theres only soo much of me left
One peice that is all
I have just a shard
of what I use to be
I say the tears are because of him
and the scars are from the cat
Thats just what you did to me
By breaking my heart like that
Yes its a little dramatic
but thats just how I feel
hollowed and empty
Of what was once real
I cant be me cause you dont want that
I cant share any of the secrets I have
Im breaking down peice by peice
untill theres nothing left of me
One day I will become
your perfect daughter
but I wont be the same
I'll be empty of myself
Kyla will be just a name.
I'll keep trying only to fail
Im just not good enough
Im not the perfection you wanted
you just expect too much
