Shutdown May Continue Even With An Emergency Declaration

According to Politico, White House officials are letting congressional Republicans know that the end to the government shut down isn't likely even if the President declares a national emergency at the southern border. The warning was issued during Trump’s Thursday visit to the southern U.S. border. Three sources with knowledge of the conversations confirmed that Republicans are being warned.
