Shivani Agarwal - When eyes met..

The same winter sun shone brightly that day
That day, when I broke all the threads of resistance;

And walked towards the lobby which
I used to gaze from a distance;

They were too profound to be said
in those few precious moments
I sunk desperately into those eyes
that had made all the difference;

Only to find a desert,
All dry, green was all dead
Worst had been seen but not tired still
They had walked all, what I was to see
Only they were anxious
as they looked into me

They couldn't be those eyes
May be fire of the youth had blurred my sight

May be I was mistaken and
had seen only a reflection of mine..

Those days, those nights only I burnt inside? ?

May be they are right-
'IT'S ALL IN THE MIND'
