Shilpa Shetty - Biography

Shilpa Shetty born on 8th June 1975 at Mangalore is an Indian actress, model and has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada films. She is the daughter of Surendra and Sunanda Shetty and sister of actress Shamita Shetty. She married an business man from London, Raj Kundra in year 2008 and has recently become the proud mother of a son, whom they have named Viaan.

Shilpa Shetty started modeling for Limca at the age of 16, and started her film career with block buster movie Baazighar in the year 1993. She acted in many films like Zameer, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Aakrosh1998 , Dhadkan, Life In A Metro and many other films.

Shilpa Shetty is a black belt in karate and a fitness freak.

Shilpa Shetty was a participant in Bid Brother, an International reality show which she won by 63% of votes in her favor, though she was hassled and troubled by the other contestants, the manner in which she maintained her cool, composure and dignity won the hearts of millions of viewers. She was felicitated by the Queen of England after her win in Big Brother.



Shilpa was also in the limelight when the Hollywood actor kissed her and raked up a controversy.



Shilpa Shetty is the co owner of the IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals along with her husband Raj Kundra.

Shilpa Shetty is associated with many charitable and social causes like AIDS /HIV, PETA etc.
