Shihabudheen K J - Cornfields Memory

Its autumn rain
that not so splendid
but chill blended this
silence to our ancestral cornfields

filled in with lonely plankton
adding misty shade to silent whirls.

skylarks perched on field bridges,
dividing the country yards.

electric lanes zooming its images felt
on the stillness with its sublime lens.

Coconut trees and palm leaves
bordering the aerial winds.

Tiny fishes making up their
love enchanting in swifting tides.

And finally my mobile lens zooming on
'Ali ',
the fish catcher spreading;
his lively nets across the dreamy fields.
