A techno age, non acting stars of
reality TV, virtual reality age;
protect and go paperless, social media craze.
Selfies, showing your ass-ets will get
you 1,000,000 hits, somebody's doing
something slick.

You know I called about my bill the other
day; was greeted with a recording. A
pleasant voice, swift and programmed
to make a decision for me, ignored me.

Dial one (1) if you need this
Dial two (2) if you need that
I shouted, 'I just need an
Agent if that's alright? '

'May I please speak to an Agent? ' Voice
Interrupting... ok, I dial zero (0) trying
to force the issue, 'ANYBODY THERE? '
'I'm sorry, I did not get that, please call back.'
The voice hangs up on me, hear the crickets?
DISCONNECTED.

My sons occasionally call and actually
hold a conversation with me.
'Momma be for real, you don't need to
talk for an hour, JT (Jus Tex) and no need to
write a book when you text:
Wyd, idk, LOL, kir, I luv u... :) '

'I need to feel you when we speak.'
'Can't you see this is a rare treat? '
'Tweet? '

Signs of the times; yes. Is it progress?
Politically Correct, I've got to watch
every word I say or be sued today?

God forbid if we end up sitting next to IRobot,
in a restaurant, sipping red wine, oh my.
Diversity? Fighting among races-ole school,
paper or plastic-last news, it's
humans or machines now? LMBO

Ain't that a bitch.
