Shelly Price - I Remember

I remember...
the beautiful sound of your laughter,
it still rings in my ears.
The security your arms provided is gone now.

I feel a sense of emptiness when I wake
each morning, alone.
It's funny...
I don't remember waking up any other way,
than when I woke up next to you.
A smile...a puuuurrrr...'hello my lover'.

I keep a rolodex of images of you,
stored within my mind.
I refer to the images daily
when I need to feel you near.

An image of your kisses,
still fresh on my lips,
soft and warm,
full of passion.

An image of your smile,
or a shared glance,
enough to melt any cold heart
and still pull on my heartstrings.

An image of you teaching me something,
anything,
it didn't matter what,
your passion was always the same.

An image of the love I saw in your eyes.
I could stare there forever,
lost in the promise of our new love.

The recollection of you,
will forever stay buried deep within my heart.
My rolodex of images will continue to
keep me warm as I remember the love we
shared once upon a time.
