Shelby Renee - Forever Lost

You've been given a 2nd chance, something not many of us get
Your life could have been taken, yet you still have the gift of breath
I was hoping that this would wake you up...
Possibly open your eyes so that you'd finally see
All the destruction and chaos you've brought to my life
All the scars and pain that you've left on me
A simple phone call was all it took
To make me simply toss all the memories aside
I cried so many tears and gathered so many tears
Because I didn't know if you lived or died
I was by your bedside at night and at day
Hoping this would change you...huh, stupid me
I waited only to be disappointed again
The gentle brother I once knew had not returned to me
Once again, I'm imprisoned in hurt and misery
You still disappiont, discourage, hurt and scar me, like you always have
I want my brother back..the real one.. not you
But I guess I'm asking too much..my brother I'll never have
We use to be tight, you and me
I had your back and you had mine
But that was the old you..he's gone..
And it's the old brother I'll never find
So here I am, imprisoned in betrayel and hurt
There appears to be no way out of these chains to which I'm bound
I've lost hope in the return of my old brother
He is forever lost...and will never be found
