SHEFFIELD ROYAL HOSPITAL
75 Views • Feb 01, 2009
Description
The hospital stood on West Street, was closed in 1978 and ( I believe ) demolished in 1981. The space is now occupied by the 'Royal Plaza' building.
I have dusty memories of having a tonsil operation there in 1972, as the medical profession thought it such a 'fashionable' procedure then.
The nurses were lovely, as I remember.
Narration is by the late Tony Claptrap.
