i once made love
to a girl who seemed
to blow bubbles
of moonlight into
room when she spoke

and the bursting bubbles
bellowed an iridescent
all-lit-up-wonderfulness
in her smile
with that kind of love
that only women know

and that unknown
thing drew me
as if to complete
myself

and i fell
near

and then all
the way

into the
very place

but she was
no where to
be found

only myself

in the image
of her
