Sharpe joins a dashing colonel on a mission to destroy a gunpowder store behind French lines. Left in the camp, his bride seeks solace in the company of another man. Meanwhile, out in the mountains, hopelessly outnumbered and with the French closing in, Sharpe must unmask the enemy on his own side.
