Sharing The Cat Food is Caring

: "Shasta, our 5-year-old Merle Rough Collie, has had a bad case of ‘only child syndrome’ because she’s had to start sharing mom and dad’s attention with a feline. Cosmo, the little black Ghost Tabby, recently was found in a construction zone by a neighbor to whom we returned their missing cat previously. He was alone and hungry, so when he first came to us he was eating almost 6 meals a day! We always wondered “where does the food go?” and just found out on October 27th, 2022 that half of Cosmo’s meals have been shared with the dog who was unsure about him at first. They’ve bonded over kibble, and are not best friends who may fight like cats and dogs, but love each other very much and now spend their days cuddling and sharing everything (even the dog and cat toys!)."
