We were close
as close as could be
You were my faith in life
my reason to believe

Believe in happiness
the happiness you brought each day
Now all is lost
all the words I didn't get to say

Say that you were my saviour
my guide through the pain
The only one
keeping me sane

Sane as you can be
in this world of disbelieve
All is drowned
in my world filled with grief

Grief that tears me apart
bringing me to defeat
Shadows embrace me
bringing eternal sleep

Sleep is my enemy
against the raging fire
Burning deep inside
filling my heart with desire

Desire for a moment
A moment of peace again
I miss being happy
I miss you my friend
