Shale gas

Shale is a sedimentary rock found in huge deposits across the world. Exploitable reserves are currently estimated at 187,000 billion cubic metres, roughly the equivalent of conventional gas reserves. Gas can be extracted from shale rock in a process known as fracking.VIDEOGRAPHIC
