SGPC backs controversial film

The mini-parliament of Sikhs the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has called the ban on controversial Punjabi film "Kaum de Heere" "improper and regretful". Purpotedly controlled by BJP ally Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar said that the film should be released without any delay. Now, the Akal Takht has claimed that the film is based on historical fact and must be released.
