A residential care home is a small, generally less than 10 residents, care setting that is set in a personal, family-style, single family residential home. While bigger Assisted Living Facilities often use the phrase "home like" or Family-style more accurately they offer hotel style or assembly line care and services. When most people think of home they think of sitting around the kitchen table talking about day's events. In a small family style, single family home, that feeling can remain. In a big Assisted Living Facility with rows of rooms one can easily envision the caregiver going room to room in a more institutional, assembly line style of care.
