SENATE DEBATES PROPERTY TAX CHANGES ON MARCH 25TH

The Senate will debate the amendments to the Property Tax Act next Monday following the passage of the bill in the House of Representatives on Monday night.

In winding up the debate, the Finance Minister spoke of the possibility of a complete or partial waiver of the property tax to those who inherit properties and can show they are in a similar impoverished state as the previous owners who had a deferral of the tax.
