Amelia Boynton Robinson personally provided the praise for her late husband by attending the official signing of the federal law by President Lyndon Johnson in August of 1965. Boynton Robinson was 110 when she died on Aug. 26. Her exact age was unknown until state Sen. Hank Sanders of Selma checked with the Census Bureau and learned she had lived six years longer than first though God was god to her .
