Tortoise I am
Slowly is my way of walking
I am branded lazy
I see them running, when will I reach there?
I see them climbing, how can I reach the top?
I have no sound, how can they hear my cry?
I have no tears, how can they see my pains?

Oh I hear my friends sharing their unheeded pains:
Housefly, ‘I like people but they like me not’
Hummingbird, ’ I am disrespected among birds’
Dog, ‘ I risk my life for peoples’ safety but my name…
My name is always a symbol of insult, “you are a dog! ”

Poverty has made me allergic to many good things in life
Hope has made me a wishful-thinker
Love I give is priceless
