Nothing of the self except the self
No mouth to tell the tale
No tail to drive flies away
The eyes shed no more tears
All tears are in the heart

Cry to help them cry for their help
The pains of the neglected
The needs of the poor
The intelligent hungry youth on the street
The destitute and shivering fear of the innocent

Query the eyes that watch
The beauty of a caged bird
Doesn't the tiny bird yearn for freedom?
Doesn't a tiny heart also feel pain?
