Seema Chowdhury - Bold Strokes

I painted my life's canvas
With bold strokes of the brush
Where I found my petty wishes
All broken and completely crushed

And random colours of silence
Filled my shattered life
And forced me to take my last
Journey and this unbearable drive

For all the major avenues
In my life's bare ground
Were tied in the tight knots
And gave a vacant look around

Where I couldn't make or plan
Unconditional acceptance's word
That I wished to conquer with
Miracles and prayer's word

And then atlast I gave up
Knowing that my dreams were crushed
Under the cruel foot steps
Of the bold strokes of the brush.
