I think we both know, this isn’t how we want it to be
I know I’m not perfect, but I’ll do me best
Because you are the only women I want to impress

Just tell me if you can’t, I’ll understand
Listen to your parents; we don’t have to hold hands
Don’t push me away like a boy who beats his wife
I just really wish you were in my life

I love your laugh; it always makes my day better
I will never forget the first time I made you laugh, never
You are so smart, you have a bright future
I just wish that it has us in it together
You are the only woman that could make me cry
You are so perfect to me, and you’ll never know why

I want to tell you how I feel, but I’m just too afraid
That you’ll say no, and send me away
So I wrote this instead, a poem for you
The woman who I want to be my boo
