Watch as a powerful lightning strike slams directly into a neighborhood tree during a storm.

Alejandra Garcia captured the dramatic moment on a home security camera in Texas, USA.

The video shows a sudden flash of lightning striking a tree in front of a neighboring house. Within seconds, branches can be seen breaking and falling from the impact as a loud explosion-like crack echoes through the neighborhood.

Car alarms immediately begin sounding in the background following the strike.

The clip was shared online and Alejandra said: "My security camera caught a lighting striking my front neighbors tree."
