Search, rescue ops resume for missing passengers

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has resumed search and rescue operations for the missing passengers of the sunken MV St. Thomas Aquinas after efforts were temporarily suspended earlier due to strong waves in Talisay and the vicinity of the Port of Cebu. The death toll in the incident has risen to 31 after more bodies were recovered on Saturday. A total of 629 others have been rescued. -- Headlines, ANC, August 17, 2013
