happy

sighing out
what I’ve kept in so long
realizing that I found
what took me nights
hours of time
that passes me by
like the ticking numbers
on a clock
watching the aging
by the second
feeling so content
with what I’ve found
the thing that
is so hard to
explain
because it’s so hard
to find

for the reason
of surprises
in everything
is everywhere
but nowhere
checking up on you
making sure
that life is ok
keeping you on
your feet
helping you with that seat
showing what life could be
with happiness
showing who
you really are
giving up tactics
for popularity
pushing it all aside
keeping life
on track
looking back
at all the time that ticked
away before you
