scott tetreault - Farewell
1 Views • Nov 08, 2014
Description
You would no longer be around.
Life once illuminating; now fleeting,
withering and dying beneath one's step.
I am traipsing down a bustling corridor,
only to hear my own breath;
trying to gulp sips of joviality.
It's a thirst you could never quench.
You have closed the door behind you,
and are fleeing my embrace.
It gets dark early these days.
And my lungs burn to forget,
your frozen memory.
