I’m sick of building walls
They never seem to be torn down
Completely
Why can’t we believe that something can work
The caverns of love are full
Of pitfalls
Walls are not mortar and brick
But love, time, energy
Brick is as we choose
To be cold and hard
Or a stone to make a solid foundation
Why is it then when we choose
The mortar has already crumbled
Why isn’t it easy to know
To give in
Why must the relentless
Be always relenting?
