Scopa halts Eskom tender probe

Parliament’s public accounts watchdog has called off plans to investigate claims of tender irregularities at Eskom. This after last week's announcement by the power utility that it will be conducting its own investigation. Racism allegations have been levelled at CEO Andre de Ruyterhim by Eskom’s suspended chief procurement officer, Solly Tshitan-gano. The Standing Committee of Public Accounts has taken a dim view of Eskom undercutting Parliament’s planned probe. Courtesy #DStv403
