Scientists Use Drones to Study Guatemalan Volcanoes

Scientists sent drones equipped with lightweight sensors to inaccessible volcano peaks in Guatemala recently, picking up useful data from emissions and visual and thermal images of eruptions in real time.
The team, from the Universities of Cambridge and Bristol</a>, plans to return to Volcan de Fuego and Volcan de Pacaya in Guatemala with a wider range of sensors later this year.
