Scientists Have Developed a Laser that Can Reach Mars
Description
A new laser ranging system can reportedly span interplanetary distances and make its mark within a millimeter. Developed by scientists at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, the advanced laser system uses what’s called “active transceivers.”
