Scarlett Treat - The Littlest Tree

His mother tapped his crown
And said, 'Now, don't frown
And shiver so. Your tender leaves
Are falling down upon the ground,
And every little breeze that blows
Is making your ribs show! '

So the little tree tried
Not to be nervous before the show!
But he didn't know
Just what to do!
'I've never been the center
Of attention before, you know! '

Soon they all stood proudly.
And the crowds gasped loudly
At the show.
The crystal gleam of a lone sunbeam
Spotlighted him
In his coat of glorious colors!
