With a slash
of Manhattan Red lipstick
and a spritz
of rich, provocative perfume
on my throat
and behind my knees,
I am finally ready for you.

Everything that could possibly
be scrubbed, and shampooed,
polished and buffed
has been taken care of,
and I am now
Queen of the Night,
READY for an adventure.

Diamonds sparkling,
nails like sharpened knives,
gleaming like red headlights,
little black dress flowing
around my perfectly prepared body,
I sail into the night,
READY for love.
