Words....words
Tripping ever so lightly
Off the tongue...
Sometimes,
They mean nothing.
They are just
Meaningless babble.

More often,
It is
The very things
You cannot say
That mean
Everything! !

The things you think...
Held close
To your heart,
Are the things
Which choke
In your throat.

Those precious words,
Which cannot be said
To the one
Who needs
To hear them most
Are the words
I cannot say.
