Scarlett Treat - Evil Is...

Evil travels through our daily lives,
Like a slimy green river,
Flowing sluggishly through a delta,
Hard on the top,
But teeming underneath with
Gar and 'gators, snakes
And other slithering, slick things
Which are the silent killers who attack.

Evil flows from life to heart,
Hardly noticed at first,
The silent stalker of our lives,
Awaiting his chance to overcome us,
Taking over, spoiling what once was lovely,
Creeping from my heart to yours...
Seeping into our skins,
Becoming - - Us.
