Scarlett Treat - Begging

'I beg you, '
I said to him,
'give me your love,
If only for the summer.

We shall be IN love,
in sunshine or rain,
when flowers bloom,
and the smell of roses
perfumes the air.

For just that length of time,
for that one endless summer,
we shall live forever,
be together...

We shall pretend
summer will never end,
and winter?
Winter will never come! '
