Laid bare, stripped,
Punished by your loss.
I lie in my lonely bed
At midnight, tossing,
Twisting and turning.

I am so tangled in
My sweat-soaked sheets
That I feel trapped
In loneliness so deep
I can't escape

Nerve ends stretched raw,
Life at the breaking point,
Heart so far beyond
Repair that I only want
To die to stop the pain.
