Scarlet ..... - why-(cutting)

why is it cut after cut
I grow calmer
cut after cut
my mind becomes peaceful
cut after cut I want more
I want to go deeper
for with each cut
part of the rage and anger
melts away
it flows out with the blood
cut by cut
I am slowly set free
free from the beast within
for it satisfies it
a little but it still wants more
and I no longer want to fight
