Scarlet ..... - *secret tomb*

hidden
behind a mask
tatter cloth
ripped and torn
a body lies

fallen to pieces long ago
held only by the cloth around it
within that body
lies a soul

soul that has been left survive
all the abuse of time
this soul waits
for which a time
to awaken
a time to live again

day after day
month after month
spent alone
trapped in the darkness
unable to move
unable to function

nightmare replaying
within the darkness
as time crawls by

there lies a soul
there to rest throughout time
hidden from all
beneath a mask
hidden in a secret tomb
waiting to awake
waiting to live again
waiting to be free
