Scarlet ..... - easily forgotten

your waiting at the bus stop
for your bus
and there you see
a child sitting at the bus station
begging for change
a look upon her face
broken and lost
abused and in pain
she is a run away
you wonder as you see her tears fall
what is she running from
who is she running from
how could they have done so much damage
to such a pure soul
they have left her in pieces
without a care
they were unconcerned with her pain
they did not see the damage
they did to her young soul
she wants to go home
but she knows no home
but the streets she wonders
she turns and sees you
she gazes to your eyes
and within that second
you see the world of her pain
all of her past
all of the pain she has felt
you catch but a glimpse of it within her gaze
you start to shake under such thoughts
of having to endore
unimagenible pain
your bus pulls up
you struggle to find the correct change
and board the bus
off to home you go
to enjoy a nice dinner with your family
just like that
the girl is forgotten
