Scarlet ..... - aged but never grew (redone)

Born and raised in a cage
life’s lessons
went untaught
your life unlived
your voice unheard
your thoughts corrupted
there was no you
freedom a word you never knew
rights of you own you never had
no decision was yours to make
born a slave to the dark system
never to be set free
within that cage
you may have aged
but never grew
never became the real you
