Scalextric Build Part 1.

So a while back now I had the idea of digging out my old Scalextric set and having a go with it, see if it still works and see if I can still use it. I used to be pretty good with it back in the day but I reckon it's been about 20 years since I first got this kit for christmas.
So I cleared the large dining table, dug out the box from storage and started putting it together.
As I was digging it out I thought I may as well make a video about this, I'm not sure if this sort of toy is of interest to kids these days, I suspect they prefer things like fortnight and such like nowadays. But for me it was a bit of a nostalgia trip and I suspect it may well be for plenty of other 'Big Kids' out there.
Along the way I realised I could do with some extra parts for this build and started to look on the internet for them. I then came across some very interesting Scalextric builds out there from some obviously very talented people.
Armed with all these new ideas I highly doubt this will be the last video I make about my scalextric set so watch this space.
