Saving the baobab trees of Madagascar

Description
The baobab tree is a symbol of Madagascar. Six of the eight species of the tree grow on this vast island. On the west coast, there is a sanctuary that draws 6,000 tourists a year. But the trees have been threatened as rice paddies encroached. The creation of a special reserve and the work of a local charity have helped save these giant trees. Duration: 02:41
