Sava Radakovich - The Tide

Under the dome of the sky:
a seafloor, bed of sand,
round belly rushed by fishes,

anemones and willits,
ruffled seagrass
swaying like hair.
A cormorant pierces
the smooth undulation
of her blue skin
and the sun breathes
white smoke.

Tendrils, tentacles,
feathers and bone -
a ship lies on the floor
of the ocean, her belly
washing and washed by
the pull of a distant moon.
