Saumya Gilra - Marigolds

Across the city to the Meadows
A treasure which it holds
is a lovely golden garden
of blossoming Marigolds,

A soft breeze
blows the leaves away
and makes the
lovely Marigolds sway,

the flowers sparkle
in the daylight
with their soft green stems
and petals with colours bright,

Now the dying time is near
for these lovely Marigolds
as these delacite flowers cannot
survive the winter cold,

But as the summer arrives
they will blossom once more
and these Lovely Marigolds will
again cover the grassy floor.
